Google Drive: Online Tools for Easy Collaboration

In this two-day seminar we will understand the powerful collaborative potential of Google Drive (formerly Google Docs or Google Apps) a free and powerful set of tools to create documents, spreadsheets, surveys, and presentations. Whether your school uses Google accounts or not, it's easy to setup with your students. Students can easily share documents, collaborate on work, comment or review each other's work, collect data through surveys, and build presentations online. This course will explore the suite of Google tools; show teachers how to create groups, share files, and define permissions; create surveys to collect, analyze, and visualize the data; and put it all together in a presentation. Emphasis throughout the course will be to leverage this technology to facilitate collaboration and communication between partners, among small group members, and for the entire class.
