Physicalizing Shakespeare

Between tweets, instagrams, txt msgs and heavy doses of pop-culture snark and sarcasm, it is no wonder that students have trouble grasping Shakespeare's words. The more we can teach students about how to read the clues Shakespeare left for us, the more deeply they will understand his work and be able to master the works of other classical playwrights and authors. In this two-day seminar we will focus on physical exercises to help students master scansion, increase comprehension, and deepen understanding of basic rhetorical devices. And it is fun.
