Decision Making Under Uncertainty | ||
| One of the most recently developed quantitative fields, decision theory uses probability to design a systematic approach to decision making. This approach is now widely used professionally to analyze political, legal, and business decisions. In this seminar, we will first look at the probability on which the technique is based, then at how the technique works, and how it is used in practice. Examples will be drawn from the case studies used to teach at professional schools. No background in probability or decision theory is required. | |||
