Real Boys: Hearing Their Voices, Changing Their Worlds | ||
| Boys, much like girls, have had their voices muffled and the consequences have erupted as a crisis of anomie that ranges from school failure to school shootings. This seminar will put forward the results of the Harvard Listening to Boys Voices Project to redefine healthy development for boys and adolescent males. It will touch upon state of the art knowledge including the key concepts of the "boy code", the "mask of masculinity", the brain's need to sustain connection (a "modern neurobiology" of attachment for boys) "action teaching/classrooms" and the "positive parent connection" | |||
